Here’s an interesting release from a fresh new artist called Kryptokind. His latest single is titled “Chapter 2 & The Challenge” (the title of the two tracks within), and I guess this naming convention would then make it what we called a “double A side” single back in the ancient times.

And while I found the first track to be beautiful but a bit anonymous and lacking direction from midway towards the end, our star shines brighter on the next track, “The Challenge”. An electro track with really quite apparent roots all the way back to the pioneers of electronica, via eighties underground acts, all while staying current. By all means, this is no retro trip – it’s just very aware of the history it is part of.

The progressive drive is elegant, the groove likewise, and the whole package is tailor made for lifting a DJ set to the next level.
