Pop music. A genre we definitely don’t cover here, right? Well, with the exception of Tatum Gale back in November, perhaps. His cool vocals and clean production won me over.

And here I go again. Hell, I don’t even know if this stuff here can be called pop music. It’s just definitely not underground electronica. This is mainstream. Nothing about this track smells underground, not deep or dark or alternative or anything. But it’s just a cool track!

I don’t know if it’s the simple structure and the vocalist doing all the voices that won me over, it just so totally reminded me of my childhood hero Prince. Or maybe it’s just because it’s a catchy tune, in a very timeless fashion.
Either way, here I am to tell you that this guy here, Darius Christian from the USA, has released a track worth listening to:

Our friend Darius is not exactly an “undiscovered” artist either. Darius has performed alongside icons such Rihanna, Ricky Martin, Lauryn Hill and Adele. So yeah. Another principle of this blog thrown out of the window.

But it’s a cool track! And sometimes, we have to let go of our principles and just give in. He’s got a great voice and knows how to use it, I already mentioned the cool vocal arrangement, the cool house beat, everything blending in to make a coherent and pretty darn good track.

So yeah, here I am in full defence mode, all shields raised, because really, this ain’t the underground I’m such an advocate for.

But it’s a real catchy track, damn it! 😀
