What is it that has made synthwave so enormous in the USA? It seems to me that a vast majority of new synthwave releases are produced there. So it’s time to visit the US of A again to enjoy some recent highlights coming from the synthwave scene!

Two new synthwave tracks on the menu today, as I present to you two that really hits home on that authentic vibe. And, of course, they are great.

For the first time ever I’ll dedicate a post in this column to one artist: The Motion Epic. So there has to be something special once I do. And it is.

I hate cliches. So why do I dig the cliche-infused synthwave genre? I think somewhere deep inside me I love tasting that naive eighties vibe again – the decade I were a teenager. And here’s three fantastic dives back to the age of innocence.

Here’s two great new synthwave releases that I really love – despite not fully qualifying on my “authenticity” test. But the VIBE is 100% authentic.

Synthwave. The genre that goes against absolutely everything this blog is about. Yet that’s precisely why I feel it fits in, as a counterbalance to the repetitive grooves of the underground club tracks.
Plus, it’s a quite geeky genre. Like mainstream pop’s corny little sister. No wonder we dig it.
